The Role
Prospect Schools is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and mission-driven Afterschool Programs Specialist to support the Network Director of Afterschool Programming in coordinating and maintaining the infrastructure, communications, and compliance of our K–12 afterschool programs. Your work will ensure that our programs are operationally excellent, enriching, and aligned with our school culture and academic goals. This is a non-managerial role ideal for someone with strong coordination, organization, and administrative skills.
Program Coordination & Calendar Management

Create and maintain a comprehensive list of afterschool program offerings across campuses

Develop, update, and manage the Afterschool Program Operations Guide as the central resource for policies, procedures, and best practices

Maintain a master calendar of network afterschool programs, including service cancellations, special events, conferences, and key meetings

Coordinate agendas, logistics, and invites for network-wide ASP events and campus meetings
Curriculum & School Culture Alignment

Gather and organize lesson plans, schedules, and curriculum documentation from campus teams and vendors

Periodically review program offerings to identify gaps or redundancies, reporting findings to the Director

Ensure communications, tone, and messaging align with ASP and network values

Create and maintain tools to monitor ASP alignment with school culture norms; support the Director with training materials, presentations, and logistics
Data & Evaluation Support

Maintain and update ASP performance dashboards, KPIs, and progress trackers

Compile and clean data for program evaluations, including surveys, attendance, enrollment, and academic remediation reports

Monitor DYCD Connect data to ensure funded programs meet attendance and enrollment standards; identify and address compliance gaps
Operations & Service Delivery

Coordinate logistics for network-wide ASP training sessions and orientation events

Plan, schedule, and track professional development sessions (e.g., CPR/AED certification) to ensure all staff meet compliance and skill-readiness standards

Maintain centralized operations resources (SOPs, shared drives, inventory trackers) to ensure consistent delivery across campuses

Track and fulfill resource and supply requests
Compliance & Administrative Support

Review and update ASP guides to reflect policy or workflow changes

Verify that enrichment content aligns with network standards and compliance requirements

Collect and prepare DYCD/DOH documentation for licensing, permits, vendor and employee compliance

Maintain communication logs with vendors and track contract renewals and agreements

Support reporting requirements for public and private funders

Monitor site-level budgets, track expenses, prepare monthly reports, and collaborate with Finance to ensure fiscal sustainability
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
-
Strong alignment to Prospect Schools’ mission and core values

3–5 years of experience in youth development programming or the nonprofit sector

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively

Strong attention to detail

Experience with program management systems, admissions software, or databases preferred

Employees at Prospect Schools are provided with a competitive salary. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills and years of experience relevant in the role. The salary range for this role is from $71,000 - $81,143.
